Frequently Asked Questions

What Insurance do you accept?

At Idaho Healing Collective, we accept all Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Regence as well as the St Luke's Health Plan: Bright Path and Select health

Is there any Insurance you do NOT accept?

We do not accept any Medicare or Medicaid plans at this time.

What if I do not see my Insurance listed here? Are there any other options?

We realize that dealing with Health Insurance can be confusing. And we feel mental health should be as accessible as possible. We want to make sure this experience is an empowering one where you can take better care of yourself by investing in your well-being.

We are able to accept FSA and HSA as a form of payment if we are not in network with your insurance which let's you take advantage of your pre-tax dollars. We are also happy to provide a super bill that you can submit for reimbursement which usually helps you meet your out of pocket max.

Can we talk on the phone before committing to an appointment?

Absolutely. In fact, we prefer this. It helps us both determine whether or not it will be a good fit. A 15 minute phone call is free and can be scheduled with the therapist of your choice right here.

What does a session cost?

A 55 minute session is billed at $200. The client is responsible for the balance not covered by insurance.

Are telehealth appointments available?

The short answer is yes. We use the Simple Practice platform for all of our client care needs and for telehealth appointments. If this is your first telehealth appointment with us, you will be sent an appointment reminder with a link - and will be directed to download the Simple Practice app. This can be done on your phone, tablet or computer.

We generally prefer to have our first session be in person but sometimes this is just not possible. But, please keep in mind that a successful session is one where both you and your clinician are able to speak freely and confidentially as if we were in the same room together. Please make sure you are in a quiet, private space, your childcare needs are taken care of, and you will not be inturrupted as your clinician offers you the same.

What is your cancellation policy?

Like most health care facilities today, we do have a simple cancellation policy. (It is also outlined in the intake paperwork you will be asked to sign.)

Here it is:

If a client cancels (with 24 hours or less notice) or does not show up for an appointment, a $100 late cancellation fee will be billed to that client. This is not covered by insurance and the client is responsible for the full amount.

However, sometimes folks get sick or have an emergency come up last minute. We ask that you let your clinician know, as soon as you can via text, voice mail or email in order to reschedule.

If a client cancels or no-shows 3 times, your clinician will notify you that you have been removed from their schedule so as not to incur further charges and make space for waitlisted clients.

What if am running late for an appointment?

Maybe this seems silly, but things like traffic happen. And we understand this. However, we reserve the right to cancel a session when a client is 15 minutes late (the late cancellation fee will apply).

Here's why: After 15 minutes have passed, there is no longer time to offer a full session. Again, if you are running late, a quick text to let your clinician know is the best way to proceed. Your clinician can offer to switch to telehealth if that simplifies things. The thing to remember here is: communicate changes with your therapist.

You keep telling me to text my therapist - is that really appropriate?

Well, yes and no.

Yes: if you are communicating about scheduling or rescheduling, needing to switch to telehealth and so on.

Yes: If you are needing to make an emergency appointment.

No: if you are actively in harms way - please call 911 first - as we are not a 24 hour ER type of service.

As we have normal business hours and are in sessions with all our clients throughout the week, you may not hear back from us immediately, but we will try our best to get back to you in a timely manner. We appreciate your patience.

The Treasure Valley is a small place. What if we run into each other in a social setting or online?

This can happen. And as therapists we are aware of the confidential nature of our job. If we run into each other in public, we will never approach you. But, you are allowed to approach us and say hello.

It gets even trickier online. So, as your therapist we will never add or friend our clients online.

This is also outlined in our practice policies which are included in your intake paperwork.
